The ESA–EIB Investment Report is a pilot study designed to support European institutions in better understanding the funding needs and investment challenges faced by upstream space companies and developers of critical space technologies and systems.
Th study aimed to increase investor awareness of the space sector’s potential as a driver of innovation, improve access to finance for space-related projects, and inform future institutional initiatives to support growth-oriented companies across the European space ecosystem.
Evenflow carried out a comprehensive market and investment analysis across key upstream space segments. This included a comprehensive overview of overall developments in upstream space technology and capital investments, as well as mapping existing funding mechanisms, identifying financing gaps, and assessing barriers that limit company growth.
The work combined extensive desk research, a large-scale industry survey, and in-depth interviews with senior executives from leading space companies, to capture real-world investment patterns, challenges, and opportunities.
