EvoLand is a Horizon Europe project that will develop and test 11 innovative prototypes to support the evolution of the Copernicus Land Monitoring Service (CLMS). These model services will focus on 5 key domains: Agriculture, Water, Forestry, Urban Planning and General Land Cover. They will also monitor land use/ land cover status and various land surface features at high resolution. To achieve this, the project will use new methods including novel EO and in-situ data, AI, data fusion and scalable IT infrastructure. The developed techniques and algorithms will be demonstrated and evaluated at test sites both inside and outside Europe.
The project’s Granting Authority is the European Health and Digital Executive Agency (HaDEA). To deliver the best possible results, EvoLand brings together a unique consortium of 10 companies with vast expertise in the Earth Observation domain.
