This project supports the European Commission in developing a comprehensive policy framework for core geospatial data from authoritative sources across the EU. Over 18 months, the study will assess the existing policy and legal landscape, identify legislative gaps and technical barriers, and explore opportunities to improve data availability, quality and interoperability. Through stakeholder consultations, impact assessments and a technical demonstrator, the project will develop actionable recommendations and an implementation roadmap to facilitate the integration of geospatial and space data, strengthen European competitiveness and support innovative applications.
Evenflow leads the project, coordinating a consortium comprising ConsultingWhere, BHO Legal and CARTO, with support from EuroGeographics, the Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC) and specialist experts. We oversee project management and delivery, while leading communication, outreach and stakeholder engagement activities. These include consultations with national authorities and data users across the EU, the organisation of workshops, webinars and a high-level conference, and the dissemination of project findings and recommendations.
