The contract aimed to demonstrate the value generated by using satellite-based EO, particularly data coming from Copernicus Sentinels, through several in-depth case studies. Thus, over 20 full cases were conducted, alongside 15 short cases and multiple cross-cutting analyses all shedding light on the different benefits generated within well-defined value chains. The contract was led by EARSC, with heavy involvement by Evenflow on case analysis, cross-cutting studies and methodological work.
Evenflow carried out numerous bottom-up analyses of Sentinel-generated benefits across a range of value chains. We also led the execution of ad-hoc studies on specific themes, e.g. publications on Sentinel data use, start-ups and entrepreneurship around Sentinel data. Evenflow additionally supported multi-stakeholder, multi-level interaction involving users, service providers and intermediaries. The legacy of SeBS carries on within SeBS360, the contract led by Evenflow and establishing the Sentinel Benefits Observatory.
